It certainly has been a while, hasn't it? Fear not, for we are not dead yet! Turns out there was a game-breaking bug in Ten Lightyears, so we fixed it!

- Just a bugfix. The game should work properly now...
- Added a restart option to the pause menu
- Added healthbars above some of the minibosses

I started this project a few years ago now, even before the engine I currently use (GameMaker Studio 2) came out. This is my first game, and, given that, I'm quite proud of it. I've learned a lot, and I'm surprised at how far it's come since it's first playable build.
Nonetheless it had it's problems. Most of them are behind-the-scenes. I'm not a computer science major, and I've never taken a class on programming. I have taught myself how to program throughout making this game with the help of the GameMaker forums and YouTube tutorials. That being said, the codebase this game is built on literally cannot support any more big features. The game is quite literally at capacity, and, as such, this is going to be the final update. If I find a bug I might fix it, but, as of now, there will be no more content added to the game.
Since I actually started this, I've received tonnes of support from my family and friends, and the team actually doubled in size (thanks for jumping on board, Niftty!). It's been a long, long time coming, but it's finally time to bring Ten Lightyears home. We'll still be here, though, and we'll try our best to keep making games, so stay on the lookout!

- Tweaked the final boss battle
- Added periodic raids by the Kralaxian Bounty Hunter

This is it: the final farewell. We've changed a few things and have officially commensed this project.
Well, not exactly; Total TakeOver is still in early access. Bug squashing takes quite some time, but we are done with the major content updates. We plan to add a few more maps and small things like that, but as of now there are no new major features planned.
~A note from the programmer: Unfortunately, the AI had to be scrapped. I tried my best, but the game simply wasn't built with computer-controlled colonies in mind. While I maybe could have scraped something together, I simply wasn't going to be able to put anything worthwhile out there.
Removed the AI (unfortunately)
Added several new maps

Expanded the selection of music slightly

In it, we're testing our ability to implement single-player maps which include and AI.
Right now the only single-player map available is a small, simple map, while the AI itself is rather predictable. We plan to improve this in the future, but for now consider this a test-run.
Hopefully nothing breaks! I think I've fixed all of the main bugs, but there is definitely potential for bugs...

- Added mountains, which are an impassable barrier
- Added crevasses, which block land units
- Added sandbanks, which block large ships
- Added storms, which slow down planes and ships
- Added ruined cities which give land units a defensive bonus and impede tank movement
- Added the ability to focus cities on resource production
- Added a paradropper unit which behaves like a plane at first then drops an infantry unit with its ability
- Added a few new maps

- Added hazardous terrain (desert tiles) that harms your troops if they stand in it too long
- Added rough terrain (marshland tiles) that hinder troop movement
- Added natural obstacles (mountain tiles) that act as an obstacle

My oh my, has it been a while!
I never did like the intro sequence for Ten Lightyears (I always thought it should come later, after the player has had a chance to play some), and I think I improved the tutorial a bit as well.

- Added transitions to all the boss battles:
- Whenever a boss changes phases, it will play a short animation to telegraph it
